Boots is not Boots

This is Boots. Or, maybe not... these days I'm just calling him "Cat."

Until recently Boots had an evil twin (henceforth his alter-ego will be known as "Evil Boots," as the felines are nearly identical in appearance). While Boots became a frequent and playful backyard guest, the aloof Evil Boots lurked at distance. To complete the Jekyll and Hyde dynamic Boots and Evil Boots scuffled regularly, presumably over Alpha-Cat status.

Then Boots' owners started packing up to move away. And since Boots had become an almost daily part of my existence I began to mentally prepare for life without my feline friend.

But this is when things got real confusing.

When the neighbors moved Evil Boots disappeared, and Boots remained.

It has been a confusing revelation.

Boots was really Evil Boots, and now I feel as though I know nothing (once again).

Homemade Pizza

A 16 inch pizza stone and a basil plant have vastly improved my home pizza making experience.

Still to come? Growing some tomatoes and getting a milk goat.

Maaaaaaa.

Cinnamon Rolls

One of my goals this summer has been to improve my yeast working skills and confidence (ah, ambition). I've mostly made bread, but wanted to branch out (well maybe I really just wanted to eat some cinnamon rolls). I didn't stray too far from my recipe, and ended up with delicious whole wheat cinnamon rolls.

Sweets don't last too long at the homestead, and these puppies were gone in about two days. Definitely worth the sugar rush.
